Devotion 764
“The Salvation of Israel"
Reference: Isaiah Chapter 4
Matthew 24:14-21 “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. [21] For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no nor ever shall be.”
The Gospel is going out before the Great Tribulation. Before God sends judgment, He always sends a warning. The gospel of Jesus Christ is the warning of God. Before He sent judgment to Sodom and Gomorrah, He sent angels to deliver Lot and his family. Jonah was sent to Nineveh before God will destroy the city, and that place was saved because the town believed.
The light of the Gospel will shine bright right before the Great Tribulation.
Let's read.
Isaiah 4:1 “And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.”
The desperation will be spiritual and physical. Prior to this, has the Trump of God sounded, the dead in Christ have risen, and the believers who are alive are caught up to be with the Lord. The Angel Gabriel announced His first coming. The archangel will announce His second coming. The believer, who has the same Spirit of Christ, the individual who has faith in the blood of the second Adam, is sheltered in the arms of the Savior. The rest of the world is in turmoil.
We continue our reading.:
Isaiah 4:2 "In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel."
There is only one place of escape, and that is in the blood of the second Adam. Those who will put their trust in the Saviour will be washed, cleansed, and become children of God.
We continue our reading:
Isaiah 4:3-5 “And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem: [4] When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning. [5] And the LORD will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defense.”
The Lord will lead His people again, just like He did in the wilderness: a pillar of fire by night and a cloud by day. Displaying He was the same God then and the same God today. Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today, and forever.
We conclude our reading:
Isaiah 4:6 "And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain."
Jesus Christ, the second Adam, the blood of God is our tabernacle today. He is our place of refuge. He is our cover from the rain and storms of life.
Exit the tabernacle of the First Adam into the Tabernacle of the Second Adam. BELIEVE and confess Christ, the Second Adam, as we've revealed Him from the First Adam. There is only one place of refuge from the coming Great Tribulation, and that’s, in Christ!
