“The Triumphant Believer”

Reference: Psalms Chapter 47

Unbelief had trapped man into sin. Sin had trapped man into sickness. Sickness had trapped man into death. Man needed an answer to death, the greatest grip of Satan.

God became a man, came on earth, went to the Cross, shed His blood to wash away sin, for those who would BELIEVE.

Removing UNBELIEF removed sin, removing sin removed sickness, removing sickness removed death.

Isaiah 53:5 “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”

Sin has no power over the BELIEVER.

Romans 6:6-7,14 “Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. [7] For he that is dead is freed from sin. [14] For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.”

Death has no power over the BELIEVER.

John 5:24 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”

Jesus Christ proved it in His resurrection.

John 11:25-26 “Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: [26] And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?”

The Spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead was sent on the Day of Pentecost to the BELIEVERS.

Acts 2:22-33 “Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: [23] Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: [24] Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it. [25] For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved: [26] Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope: [27] Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. [28] Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance. [29] Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. [30] Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; [31] He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. [32] This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. [33] Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.”

The BELIEVER has triumphed over unbelief.
The BELIEVER  has triumphed over sin.
The BELIEVER has triumphed over sickness.
The BELIEVER has triumphed over death.

By dying with Christ, raising up with Him, and receiving the Promised Spirit (Holy Spirit) that was in Christ.

Romans 8:11 “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”

The BELIEVER can now shout with a voice of triumph.

Let’s read:

Psalm 47:1-2 “O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph. [2] For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth.”

By defeating sin, sickness, and death for all who would BELIEVE, Jesus Christ is the BELIEVER’s King of kings.

Revelation 19:13-16 “And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. [14] And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. [15] And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. [16] And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”

He is not just king over earth but the King over Heaven and Earth.

We continue our reading:

Psalm 47:3 “He shall subdue the people under us, and the nations under our feet.”

By the shedding of His blood, He has NOW subdued every power and principality, and placed the nations under His feet.

Matthew 28:18 “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”

Not some power but ALL power.

We conclude our reading:

Psalm 47:4-9 “He shall choose our inheritance for us, the excellency of Jacob whom he loved. Selah. [5] God is gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet. [6] Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises. [7] For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding. [8] God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness. [9] The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God: he is greatly exalted.”

Jesus Christ the King of kings, receives praises of understanding.

Let unbelief and doubt not prevail. BELIEVE and confess Christ the Word as we’ve revealed Him from the First Adam. The BELIEVER is eternally triumphant, in Christ!
