“Seeing God For Who He Is”
Reference: Psalms Chapter 70
When we behold Jesus Christ, everything else becomes small.
If we recognize He turned death to life, then every impossibility becomes possible.
There is no situation He cannot change, no problem He cannot fix.
The more we look to Christ, the more we see Him for Who He is.
He is far bigger than any name, king, power, principality, visible or invisible.
Ephesians 1:17-23 “That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: [18] The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, [19] And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, [20] Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, [21] Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: [22] And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, [23] Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.”
He sits far above His creation.
Colossians 1:15-17 “Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: [16] For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: [17] And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.”
David, with a limited look, could only magnify God.
Today, we do not magnify God, we see Him for Who He already is. Bigger than anything we can imagine, think, or perceive.
Let’s read:
Psalm 70:1 “Make haste, O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O LORD.”
God has ALREADY delivered us. He delivered us when He hang on Mount Calvary. He saved us, and cannot save us again. We use our faith to accept our deliverance when we see Him for Who He is, and what He has ALREADY done.
We continue our reading:
Psalm 70:2-3 “Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt. [3] Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame that say, Aha, aha.”
Jesus Christ ALREADY destroyed and shamed the Enemy when He hanged on the Cross.
Colossians 2:10-15 “And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: [11] In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: [12] Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. [13] And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; [14] Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; [15] And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”
The Enemy is shamed when we accept our victory over him by our faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ.
In Him, the Believer is placed far above every principality, visible or invisible.
We continue our reading:
Psalm 70:4 “Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.”
We cannot possibly magnify God. Our magnification is not enough.
He sits outside time while we are limited by time.
He sits outside sight while we are limited by physical perception.
He sits outside creation while we are limited by being created.
Let God be God. His Name is Jesus Christ.
We conclude our reading.
Psalm 70:5 “But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O LORD, make no tarrying.”
Praise Him for He has ALREADY delivered.
Look solely unto Jesus the Christ . BELIEVE and confess Christ the Word as we’ve revealed Him from the First Adam. He is far above every imagination, in Christ!
