Devotion 513
“How The Blood Fights”
Reference: Psalms Chapter 35
To know how the Blood of Christ fights spiritually, we must understand how the human blood fights physically.
Leviticus 17:11 “For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.”
The life in the physical blood are cells. There are two main fighter cells. One is called B cells and the other is T cells.
The B and T cells are like the police and the military of a nation. They fight every domestic and international enemy that comes against the nation.
When an infection (enemy) comes against the body, the B and T cells fights them off. This is called the immune system.
The immune system also takes a blue print or copy of the enemy so that it can reject the enemy upon return. That means the individual becomes immune to the enemy. The immune system recognizes the enemy anywhere and anytime it returns With the copy or blue print, the immune system quickly rejects the enemy.
So is the Blood of Jesus Christ.
The Life (B and T cells) in the Blood of Jesus Christ is the Holy Spirit. He fought and defeated Satan when Jesus Christ spilled His Blood on the Cross.
Matthew 28:18 ‘And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”
The life in the Blood of Christ is an immunity to Satan. A man or woman covered by the Blood of Jesus is immune to Satan and any other ungodly principality.
Colossians 2:14-15 “Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; [15] And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”
He made a show of them by taking a picture or blue print of them forever.
Anyone who places their faith in the Blood of Jesus Christ is covered by the Life in the Blood, does not have to fight against Satan but allow the Life (B and T cells) in the Blood defend them against every attack of the Enemy.
David requests the Lord fight against his enemies.
Let’s read:
Psalm 35:1-3 “Plead my cause, O LORD, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me. [2] Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help. [3] Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation.”
The Life in the Blood of Jesus Christ fought for our salvation. Whoever places their faith in the Blood of Jesus Christ is immune to Satan. They have overcome Satan.
Revelation 12:11 “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”
The Life in the Blood of Jesus Christ the Lamb overcame Satan. Any man or woman covered by the Blood of Jesus Christ by faith has overcome Satan and is immune to Satan and all his affiliates.
Any man or woman not covered by the Blood of Jesus Christ is exposed to Satan and all his affiliates.
We continue our reading:
Psalm 35:4-8 “Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt. [5] Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the LORD chase them. [6] Let their way be dark and slippery: and let the angel of the LORD persecute them. [7] For without cause have they hid for me their net in a pit, which without cause they have digged for my soul. [8] Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall.”
That’s what the Life (B and T cells) in the Blood of Jesus did to Satan and his cohorts. The Holy Spirit (B and T cells ) in the Blood of Jesus defeated Satan unawares, when the Blood was spilled on the Cross.
We continue our reading:
Psalm 35:9-10 “And my soul shall be joyful in the LORD: it shall rejoice in his salvation. [10] All my bones shall say, LORD, who is like unto thee, which deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him that spoileth him?”
We rejoice in salvation because we have overcome Satan the enemy by the Blood of the Lamb. We are now immune to Satan. It causes constant rejoicing in us.
We continue our reading:
Psalm 35:11-26 “False witnesses did rise up; they laid to my charge things that I knew not. [12] They rewarded me evil for good to the spoiling of my soul. [13] But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom. [14] I behaved myself as though he had been my friend or brother: I bowed down heavily, as one that mourneth for his mother. [15] But in mine adversity they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together: yea, the abjects gathered themselves together against me, and I knew it not; they did tear me, and ceased not: [16] With hypocritical mockers in feasts, they gnashed upon me with their teeth. [17] Lord, how long wilt thou look on? rescue my soul from their destructions, my darling from the lions. [18] I will give thee thanks in the great congregation: I will praise thee among much people. [19] Let not them that are mine enemies wrongfully rejoice over me: neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause. [20] For they speak not peace: but they devise deceitful matters against them that are quiet in the land. [21] Yea, they opened their mouth wide against me, and said, Aha, aha, our eye hath seen it. [22] This thou hast seen, O LORD: keep not silence: O Lord, be not far from me. [23] Stir up thyself, and awake to my judgment, even unto my cause, my God and my Lord. [24] Judge me, O LORD my God, according to thy righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me. [25] Let them not say in their hearts, Ah, so would we have it: let them not say, We have swallowed him up. [26] Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at mine hurt: let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify themselves against me.”
That’s is exactly what the Life in the Blood did to Satan the enemy when the Blood was spilled on the Cross. The Life ( B and T cells) in the Blood of Christ confused and arrested Satan and his fallen angels, making a shame of them openly.
Colossians 2:15 “And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”
We conclude our reading:
Psalm 35:27-28 “Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant. [28] And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long.”
The joy of Salvation is the finished work of Christ on the Cross.
Let the Life in the Blood provide you immunity from Satan. BELIEVE and confess Christ the Word as we’ve revealed Him from the First Adam. The Life in the Blood fought and won, available to anyone who would believe, in Christ
