“Remember The Word and Work of God”

Reference: Psalms Chapter 44

God has given man five physical senses. These are the sense of hear, see, feel, smell, and taste.

God has also given man six spiritual senses. These are free-will, faith, subconscience, thought, feelings, and memory.

Our memory is to remember the Word and Work of God.

Remembering the Word and Work of God brings peace to the soul.

Remember God did not send an angel to save man. God sent His best. He sent His only Son.

Remember God did not save man just from sin. God saved man spiritually, emotionally, and physically to be His dwelling place.

Remember God did not leave man after He saved him. God sent His Holy Spirit to dwell in man from the day of Pentecost.

Remember God is not finished with man. God promised the Messiah will come. He came the first time to redeem His bride (the Church) . He will return to receive His bride , and ultimately come back to reign with His bride.

Remember the finished work of God on the Cross defeated every enemy. The finished work defeated sin, sickness, and even death. The worse the enemy can do to the believer is to bring death. But faith brings the believer resurrection.

Remember as long as we believe, Satan is defeated because faith is more powerful than death. Faith is more powerful than sickness. Faith is more powerful than sin. Faith is more powerful than Satan.

Remember faith is the only thing man has that is more powerful than Satan.

Unbelief leads to sin, disease, and ultimately death. Faith in the Word of God, which is the opposite of unbelief, leads to resurrection. Therefore faith have swallowed up sin, disease, and death.

1 Corinthians 15:54-57 “So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. [55] O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? [56] The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. [57] But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Remember the Blood of Jesus Christ heals, fights, protects, sanctifies, provides countenance, and speaks for the believer.

It’s by faith in the Blood of Jesus Christ that the believer grows spiritually. Men and women have no life until they are eating daily His flesh and drinking His blood.

John 6:53 “Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.”

Remember we eat His body and drink His blood by applying our spiritual sense of faith to it.

The writer of this Psalm remembers.

Let’s read:

Psalm 44:1-3 “We have heard with our ears, O God, our fathers have told us, what work thou didst in their days, in the times of old. [2] How thou didst drive out the heathen with thy hand, and plantedst them; how thou didst afflict the people, and cast them out. [3] For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.”

Today, we know Jesus Christ is the right hand of God. We walk, talk, and speak in His name.

It is promised that every knee shall bow, and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

If we remember his past work, then we are assured of His coming promises.

We continue our reading:

Psalm 44:4-5 “Thou art my King, O God: command deliverances for Jacob. [5] Through thee will we push down our enemies: through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us.”

Remember the Name that defeated and defeats every enemy is Jesus Christ. It is through this Name that every chain of bondage is broken. The chain of sin, sickness, and death is broken by faith in the Name of Jesus Christ.

We continue our reading:

Psalm 44:6-17 “For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me. [7] But thou hast saved us from our enemies, and hast put them to shame that hated us. [8] In God we boast all the day long, and praise thy name for ever. Selah. [9] But thou hast cast off, and put us to shame; and goest not forth with our armies. [10] Thou makest us to turn back from the enemy: and they which hate us spoil for themselves. [11] Thou hast given us like sheep appointed for meat; and hast scattered us among the heathen. [12] Thou sellest thy people for nought, and dost not increase thy wealth by their price. [13] Thou makest us a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and a derision to them that are round about us. [14] Thou makest us a byword among the heathen, a shaking of the head among the people. [15] My confusion is continually before me, and the shame of my face hath covered me, [16] For the voice of him that reproacheth and blasphemeth; by reason of the enemy and avenger. [17] All this is come upon us; yet have we not forgotten thee, neither have we dealt falsely in thy covenant.”

Unbelief provokes the silence of God. Unbelief brings chastisement and  the wrath of God in some cases.

God is faithful. He keeps His covenant. It’s man who is unfaithful to the One Way of God.

The One Way of God is the Way of the Blood.

Man is faithful to God if they go the only way of God which is the Blood.

We continue our reading:

Psalm 44:18-22 “Our heart is not turned back, neither have our steps declined from thy way; [19] Though thou hast sore broken us in the place of dragons, and covered us with the shadow of death. [20] If we have forgotten the name of our God, or stretched out our hands to a strange god; [21] Shall not God search this out? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart. [22] Yea, for thy sake are we killed all the day long; we are counted as sheep for the slaughter.”

The Love of God through the work on the Cross, when received by faith, cannot be separated by any situation or circumstance.

Romans 8:35-39 “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? [36] As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. [37] Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. [38] For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, [39] Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

We take His life by given Him our life.
We take His water by giving Him our water

We become one with Him in death and resurrection. There is no separation. This is the power of our faith.

We conclude our reading:

Psalm 44:23-26 “Awake, why sleepest thou, O Lord? arise, cast us not off for ever. [24] Wherefore hidest thou thy face, and forgettest our affliction and our oppression? [25] For our soul is bowed down to the dust: our belly cleaveth unto the earth. [26] Arise for our help, and redeem us for thy mercies' sake.”

Today, we wait no longer for redemption. For He has ALREADY redeemed us.
We wait no longer for mercy for He has expressed Mercy on the Cross.

We no longer cry for help for He has provided everything we need through His shed blood.

We simply enjoy this exciting journey with Him as one.

Remember the Word and Work of God. BELIEVE and confess Christ the Word as we’ve revealed Him from the First Adam. Remember He died, rose again, alive with us and in us today, in Christ!
