“Give Me The Heathen For My Inheritance”
Reference: Psalms Chapter 2
The cry of the man or woman who is one with God is for souls.
God is a soul winner. He went to every depth to win souls, even to the death on a cross.
When we become one with God in Love, Faith, Conscience, Thought, Feeling, and Memory, we become just like Christ, we become soul winners.
God is simply about soul winning. He will save any soul who expresses a modicum of sincere faith in Christ.
Let’s read:
Psalm 2:1 “Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?”
Because it has not been revealed to them what God has done on their behalf.
God has become a man, and died for every heathen. They just have to hear it, and accept it.
In their imagination, the heathen worships a god of their own making.
We continue our reading:
Psalm 2:2-3 “The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, [3] Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.”
They fight against the only thing that can help them. Jesus Christ is the only answer to mankind.
Similarly today, many reject the Holy Spirit Baptism, the only thing that can help them live above defeat.
We continue our reading:
Psalm 2:4 “He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.”
It’s laughable for anyone to take counsel against God. They took counsel to kill Jesus Christ only to fulfill scripture.
1 Corinthians 2:8-10 “Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. [9] But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. [10] But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.”
We continue our reading:
Psalm 2:5-7 “Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure. [6] Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. [7] I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.”
God becoming a Man for the soul purpose of restoring man to His original creation.
God becomes a Son so He could have many children through Him.
Only by the Wisdom of God.
We continue our reading:
Psalm 2:8 “Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.”
That is the heart of God; bringing souls back to the Garden.
No matter how deep in sin we may be, or the physical distance we may be from the Word of God, He will reach us.
God will make a way to reach a sincere heart, no matter where they are located.
We conclude our reading:
Psalm 2:9-12 “Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. [10] Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth. [11] Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. [12] Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.”
The Son makes heaven and earth to kiss. The heathen sinner is restored to the Father only through the Son.
We have no other means to God. Any means to God outside the Son (Jesus Christ) is a vain imagination.
Let the Word of God bring us into oneness with God. BELIEVE and confess Christ the Word as we’ve revealed Him from the First Adam. God is a soul winner, in Christ!
