“Light Dispels Darkness”

Reference: Psalms Chapter 27

There is no need to fight darkness. Just turn on the light and darkness is dispelled.

The man or woman walking in darkness knows not where they’re going.

Jesus Christ is the Light. Salvation is when Jesus Christ the Light comes to dwell in a person.

David points to the Light of his salvation.

Let’s read:

Psalm 27:1 “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”

There is fear in darkness. When the Light dispels darkness, fear is also dispelled. Satan is darkness. He comes with the spirit of fear.
The spirit of fear is dispelled by the Spirit of God (the Holy Spirit) Who is the Life in the blood of Christ.
This Life in the blood of Christ comes to the believer whose faith is placed in the shed blood of Jesus Christ.
The Holy Spirit today is the strength of the believer.

We continue our reading:

Psalm 27:2 “When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.”

Satan stumbles and falls to one thing only, and that is the blood of Jesus Christ.

It was the blood on their door post in Egypt that kept the angel of death away, and it’s the blood of Jesus Christ on the door post of our hearts that keeps Satan away.

We continue our reading:

Psalm 27:3-4 “Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. [4] One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.”

The blood of Jesus Christ gives us access to God not only for a.month of millennium but for perpetuity. The beauty of the Lord is ours to behold eternally.

We continue our reading:

Psalm 27:5 “For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.”

In Christ, we stand on the Rock that keeps us from the sinking sand of life. The Rock provides water when thirsty, and honey when hungry.

Every provision of God comes through Christ the Rock.

We continue our reading:

Psalm 27:6-8 “And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD. [7] Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me. [8] When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.”

He gives us faith to take Him at His Word.

He said seek His face. We simply say Amen.

He says we must be filled with the Holy Spirit. We simply say Amen.

He says by His stripes we are healed. We simply say Amen.

He says we have passed from death unto life. We simply say Amen.

Faith, faith, faith. Only believe!

Take God at His Word.

Throw away every doubt and unbelief.

We continue our reading:

Psalm 27:9-11 “Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. [10] When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up. [11] Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.”

Today, He has given us His Holy Spirit to be our leader and tutor. Any other tutor or leader will lead us into the hands of the enemy.

We conclude our reading:

Psalm 27:12-14 “Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty. [13] I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. [14] Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.”

As long as faith is resting in the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the Life in the blood of Christ Who is the Holy Spirit, is our portion.  We have passed from death unto life, and cannot die just like the Holy Spirit cannot die.

This is the Strength of the believer.

Let the Spirit of God be our strength. BELIEVE and confess Christ the Word as we’ve revealed Him from the First Adam. All darkness is dispelled, in Christ!
