“Until I Went Into The Sanctuary Of God”

Reference: Psalms Chapter 73

The seed (the Believer who has accepted the Person of Jesus Christ) is allowed to grow together with the weed (the individual who has not accepted the Person of Jesus Christ) just the same.
Their beginning look the same but their end thereof is extremely different.

Matthew 13:24-28 “Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: [25] But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. [26] But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. [27] So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? [28] He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? “

The Enemy (Satan) comes and sells unbelief.

He sold unbelief to Eve in the garden, telling her she would not die if she ate the forbidden fruit.
He sold unbelief to the world at the time of Noah, and the whole world was drowned into hell except for Noah’s family.

He has blinded the eyes of this world with unbelief. Only a few believe today.

The Lord allows the Believer and the Unbeliever to live until the end, the harvest.

Matthew 13:29-30 “But he said, Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. [30] Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.”

Asaph, the believer, was jealous of the Unbeliever until he received the revelation of hell.

Let’s read:

Psalm 73:1-3 “Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart. [2] But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped. [3] For I was envious at the foolish, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.”

Like the wicked, the weed may look green and beautiful but can never prosper because it cannot bear fruit.
The Believer has no reason to be envious of the Unbeliever. The Believer should pity the Unbeliever.

We continue our reading:

Psalm 73:4-17 “For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm. [5] They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men. [6] Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment. [7] Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish. [8] They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily. [9] They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth. [10] Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them. [11] And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High? [12] Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches. [13] Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocency. [14] For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning. [15] If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of thy children. [16] When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me; [17] Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.”

Until Asaph understood their end (hell) he was jealous of the wicked. The end of the weed (tares) is to be burned with fire, and so is the end of the Unbeliever.

We continue our reading:

Psalm 73:18-20 “Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction. [19] How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors. [20] As a dream when one awaketh; so, O Lord, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image.”

Asaph received the revelation of heaven and hell and it changed his perspective.

If we will receive the revelation of hell, it will compel us to prayer, to bring the Unsaved to Jesus Christ.

Romans 10:14-15 “How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? [15] And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!”

The gospel must be preached at all cost.

It cost Jesus Christ the Cross. It must similar cost the Believer everything.

We conclude our reading:

Psalm 73:21-28 “Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins. [22] So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before thee. [23] Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand. [24] Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. [25] Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. [26] My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever. [27] For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee. [28] But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.”

When we receive the revelation of Heaven and Hell, we can’t help but declare His work of the Cross to the world.

Avoid hell. BELIEVE and confess Christ the Word as we’ve revealed Him from the First Adam. We escape hell by believing, in Christ!
