Christ in us reconciling the World to Himself

God

There is one eternally existing God who reveals Himself in three distinct manifestations.: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Isaiah 9:6).
In the beginning, God existed alone. Within Him were the attributes of a Father, though there were no children to father; the attributes of a Son, though no Father to whom He could be a Son; the attributes of salvation, though no one was lost to save; and the attributes of love, though no one to love. In His sovereignty, God created all things out of Himself.
He is the Creator of all that exists, both visible and invisible. He possesses attributes of love, power, holiness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom, justice, and mercy. He is immutable—unchanging yesterday, today, and forever.

Revelation

God has made Himself known to humanity through His creation, His Word, His prophets, and most fully through the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is the ultimate Prophet of God, the revealed Word of God, and the visible image of God. He is both the written and living Word of God.

Mankind

Human beings, both male and female, were created in the image of God, reflecting His nature and intended to be in communion with Him. The first man, Adam, was the first son of God—created without sin and appointed as the caretaker of all creation on earth.

The Fall

The relationship between God and man was designed to be inseparable, like a coat on a hanger—man was the coat, and God was the hanger. When man chose to step outside the Word of God, he fell, separating himself from divine fellowship. Despite this, God did not abandon humanity, but instead provided a way for restoration.

Salvation

God became a man—Jesus Christ—entering the world to show humanity its true nature and purpose. The Second Adam replaced the First Adam. By identifying with the Second Adam—through His life, death, burial, resurrection, ascension, and His presence in the Holy Spirit—humanity can be restored to its intended unity with God. Salvation is the indwelling of Jesus Christ in the life of a believer.

Justification, Sanctification, and Glorification

Justification, sanctification, and glorification are all accomplished through faith in the completed work of Jesus Christ.

Romans 8:30 states: “Moreover whom He did predestinate, them He also called: and whom He called, them He also justified: and whom He justified, them He also glorified.”

Jesus Christ died on the cross not only to provide salvation but also to sanctify and set apart believers unto God. Through identification with His life, death, burial, resurrection, and ascension—and now through His indwelling Spirit—believers are justified, sanctified, and glorified.

The Church

The Church is the visible body of Christ, united with Jesus Christ in His Word. It consists of men and women in whom Jesus Christ dwells through the Holy Spirit.

Acts 2:37-39 says, “Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”

Ressurection

Because Jesus Christ was raised from the dead, all who have Christ living within them will also be raised from the dead.
