“The Lord Is Not Waiting Or Hiding”

Reference: Psalms Chapter 13

The Lord is here. He is Jehovah Shamnah, the God Who is ever present.

What disconnects man from God is sin (unbelief). Sin disturbs the fellowship between man and God.

What connects man and God is the blood sacrifice. The blood sacrifice links man to God.

As long as faith is resting in the blood sacrifice, fellowship with God is ongoing.

Job 1:5 “And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.”

The blood sacrifice was the link between Job and God. The blood sacrifice was the link between Abel and God.

Hebrews 11:4 “By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.”

The blood sacrifice was the link between Abraham and God.

Genesis 22:13 “And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.”

Today, the Blood Sacrifice is the link between us and God.

John 3:14-16 “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: [15] That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. [16] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Jesus Christ was lifted up on the Cross as a blood sacrifice. This is the door of fellowship between whosoever believes and God.

David cries for the presence of God.

Let’s read:

Psalm 13:1 “How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?”

The Lord never forgets His children.

Isaiah 49:13-16 “Sing, O heavens; and be joyful, O earth; and break forth into singing, O mountains: for the LORD hath comforted his people, and will have mercy upon his afflicted. [14] But Zion said, The LORD hath forsaken me, and my Lord hath forgotten me. [15] Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee. [16] Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands; thy walls are continually before me.”

Fellowship with God is broken only by sin (unbelief). As long as faith is placed in the blood sacrifice of Christ, God is ever present with us, and we can rest in His presence.

We continue our reading:

Psalm 13:2 “How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?”

The enemy’s door to us is through unbelief.

Genesis 3:6 “And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.”

If Eve believed what God had said, she wouldn’t have to sin. She wouldn’t have to bring upon herself sorrow., and wouldn’t have the enemy exalt over her.

The enemy walked over Job, hit him from all sides but Job lost not his faith.

Job 19:23-26 “Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book! [24] That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever! [25] For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: [26] And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:”

Today, we know our Redeemer lives. He has resurrected from the grave. He is in us, and next to us in the Person of the Holy Spirit. He comforts and teaches just as when He walked on earth. He is ever present with us as long as our faith is maintained in the blood sacrifice. The enemy cannot tower over us because of Who is in us and with us.

We continue our reading:

Psalm 13:3-4 “Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death; [4] Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.”

The child of God in Christ today has passed from death unto life.

John 5:24 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”

The child of God in Christ cannot die just as Christ cannot die. We died with Him and has resurrected with Him in identicatiaon.

We conclude our reading:

Psalm 13:5-6 “But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation. [6] I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.”

The loneliness, sorrow, and fear dissipates the moment faith rises.

When we have fellowship with God, we no longer have fellowship with fear or sorrow.

Fellowship is always through the shed blood.
Salvation comes only through the shed blood of Christ. The moment the believer recognizes the anchor of the blood sacrifice, they see the hand of God in fellowship.

Sorrow is then turned into joy.
Fear is then turned into peace.

Loneliness turned into fellowship.

Let the Word of God bring us into God’s provided way of fellowship which is through the blood sacrifice. BELIEVE and confess Christ the Word as we’ve revealed Him from the First Adam. He is ever present, in Christ!
