“Separation”

Reference: Psalms Chapter 114

When God calls a man or woman, He separates them from their surrounding, from the things they are familiar with, from the kingdom of the world into the kingdom of God.

Ephesians 2:12-13 “That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: [13] But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.”

Abraham was separated unto God from his kindred.

Genesis 12:1 “Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee.”

Israel was separated unto God from Egypt, a type of the world.

Let’s read:

Psalm 114:1-4 “When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language; [2] Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion. [3] The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back. [4] The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.”

When a man or woman is obedient to the separation by God, nothing will stand in their way.  Red seas and Jordan’s must open.

Nothing could stand in the way of Abraham to be the father of nations.
Nothing could stand in the way of Israel to the Promised Land.
Nothing can stand in the way of the believer who acquiesces to the separation by God.

We continue our reading:

Psalm 114:5-7 “What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back? [6] Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs? [7] Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob.”

For He leads the way when we are separated unto Him. The miraculous becomes the norm for those separated unto God. They have become His responsibility.

2 Corinthians 6:17-18 “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, [18] And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.”

We are His children when we heed the call to separate from our world, by heeding His Word.

We conclude our reading:

Psalm 114:8 “Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.”

The separated ones will walk on seas, heal the sick, and manifest God to their world.

Mark 16:15-18 “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. [16] He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. [17] And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; [18] They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”

He separated them unto Himself, then He sent them to manifest God to the world.

Let the Word of God separate you unto Himself. BELIEVE and confess Christ the Word as we’ve revealed Him from the First Adam. He separates those He’s called, in Christ!
