“Whose Spirit Came From You?”

Reference: Job Chapter 26

It’s not a man or woman but the spirit in the man or woman.

It’s not an evil man or woman but the evil spirit in the man or woman.

It’s not a holy man or woman but the Holy Spirit in the man or woman.

Men and women are judged by their spirit.

Job asked about the spirit behind the words of his friend.

Let’s read:

Job 26:1-4 “But Job answered and said, [2] How hast thou helped him that is without power? how savest thou the arm that hath no strength? [3] How hast thou counselled him that hath no wisdom? and how hast thou plentifully declared the thing as it is? [4] To whom hast thou uttered words? and whose spirit came from thee?”

Words of wisdom comes only by the Holy Spirit. All other words are of men and is foolishness to God.

1 Corinthians 1:19-20,25,27,30 “For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. [20] Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world? [25] Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men. [27] But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; [30] But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:”

Job is pointing out to his friend that his counseling is not coming from the Holy Spirit. It’s wisdom of men which is contrary to the wisdom of God.

We continue our reading:

Job 26:5-13 “Dead things are formed from under the waters, and the inhabitants thereof. [6] Hell is naked before him, and destruction hath no covering. [7] He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing. [8] He bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds; and the cloud is not rent under them. [9] He holdeth back the face of his throne, and spreadeth his cloud upon it. [10] He hath compassed the waters with bounds, until the day and night come to an end. [11] The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his reproof. [12] He divideth the sea with his power, and by his understanding he smiteth through the proud. [13] By his spirit he hath garnished the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent.”

No finite person can Fathom the depth, breadth, extent, and power of God. He is infinite in depth, breadth, extent, and power. He lives outside time.

His Word formed the world. It was in His thought before it came out as His Word. Creation was in His thoughts before it came out as His Word. We were in His thoughts before we were formed in our mother’s womb.

He knows of every thought of ours.
He knew the beginning and end of Job even before He allowed Satan to try Him.

We are always in His thoughts He is the same God from the beginning of creation today.

We conclude our reading:

Job 26:14 “Lo, these are parts of his ways: but how little a portion is heard of him? but the thunder of his power who can understand?”

None can understand the thunder of His power. Hence He has not called us to understand but to believe.

Let the Word of God be unto us Wisdom. BELIEVE and confess Christ the Word as we’ve revealed Him from the First Adam. It’s not the man or woman but their spirit, in Christ!
