Devotion 74

DEVOTION 74: “God Never Changes” coming out of Exo. 24

If He saved by the blood one time, He always have to save by the blood as long as the requirements are met. He never changes.

If He raptured Enoch before the tribulation of flood during the time of Noah, He will rapture His bride (those walking with Him) before the great tribulation.

If He redeemed the earth first by the flood, then by the blood of Jesus Christ, and later by fire, then He has to redeem us first by repentance in water baptism, the blood of Christ, and the fire of the Holy Spirit.

2 Peter 3:6-7 “Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: [7] But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.”

The Trinity of God never changes.

He was God in Heaven, God with us on earth in Christ, and today God in us in the Form of the Holy Spirit.

The people are about to learn that none come to Him without the blood.

Let’s read:

Exodus 24:1-2 “And he said unto Moses, Come up unto the LORD, thou, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel; and worship ye afar off. [2] And Moses alone shall come near the LORD: but they shall not come nigh; neither shall the people go up with him.”

The Word always came to the prophet. God always had a prophet, a man who would bring His Word to the people. Moses was that man at this time. He was the only one allowed to come to God because He was a type of Christ to the people.

Today, we are able to come to God only in Christ. We become types of Christ when we are in Christ.

We continue our reading:

Exodus 24:3-4 “And Moses came and told the people all the words of the LORD, and all the judgments: and all the people answered with one voice, and said, All the words which the LORD hath said will we do. [4] And Moses wrote all the words of the LORD, and rose up early in the morning, and builded an altar under the hill, and twelve pillars, according to the twelve tribes of Israel.”

The same Word of God spoken was written down by Moses so that we may also have the Word. The Word was testified in flesh in the Form of a man called Jesus Christ. Christ was, and is the Word, and He explained Himself when He was on earth.

Today, the Holy Spirit does the teaching or explaining of the Word.

John 14:26 “But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

The Same Word, explained to us by the Same Teacher in different Forms. The Trinity of God never changes.

We continue our reading:

Exodus 24:5-9 “And he sent young men of the children of Israel, which offered burnt offerings, and sacrificed peace offerings of oxen unto the LORD. [6] And Moses took half of the blood, and put it in basons; and half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar. [7] And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the LORD hath said will we do, and be obedient. [8] And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these words. [9] Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel.”

They could not come to God until the blood covenant was in place.

Today, we cannot come to God outside the Blood Covenant of Jesus Christ.

We continue our reading:

Exodus 24:10-11 “And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness. [11] And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw God, and did eat and drink.”

We will never see God unless we come by the way of the Blood. Because we have come by the Blood, one day soon, we shall sit and eat with Him.

Matthew 26:28-29 “For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. [29] But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.”

We continue our reading:

Exodus 24:12-15 “And the LORD said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them. [13] And Moses rose up, and his minister Joshua: and Moses went up into the mount of God. [14] And he said unto the elders, Tarry ye here for us, until we come again unto you: and, behold, Aaron and Hur are with you: if any man have any matters to do, let him come unto them. [15] And Moses went up into the mount, and a cloud covered the mount.”

The Same Pillar was a cloud by day and fire by night. This Pillar of the Holy Spirit led Moses and now covers him. Remember this Same Pillar became a cloud of darkness to the Egyptians.

Exodus 14:19-20 “And the angel of God, which went before the camp of Israel, removed and went behind them; and the pillar of the cloud went from before their face, and stood behind them: [20] And it came between the camp of the Egyptians and the camp of Israel; and it was a cloud and darkness to them, but it gave light by night to these: so that the one came not near the other all the night.”

He is the Same Pillar of the Holy Spirit in those who have received Him today, directing all affairs.

He will be the same Pillar in the New Jerusalem.

Isaiah 4:5 “And the Lord will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defense.”

He changed not.

We conclude our reading:

Exodus 24:16-18 “And the glory of the LORD abode upon mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it six days: and the seventh day he called unto Moses out of the midst of the cloud. [17] And the sight of the glory of the LORD was like devouring fire on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel. [18] And Moses went into the midst of the cloud, and gat him up into the mount: and Moses was in the mount forty days and forty nights.”

Let the Word and His Blood sacrifice bring you into the presence of God. Receive His fire baptism of the Holy Spirit. BELIEVE, and confess Christ as we’ve revealed Him from the First Adam. The progression of the water,  blood, and life (Spirit) never changes, in Christ!
