“How Can Man Be Justified With God”

Reference: Job Chapter 25

How is a sinful man justified by a Holy God?

It’s not possible unless the Holy God becomes a man.

God therefore prepared a body, and poured Himself into it.

This body, full of God Himself, is called Jesus Christ, God in a human body.

Jesus Christ is the only justified man.

For sinful man to be justified, they have to exchange their life for the life of Jesus Christ. This exchange happens only through death.

Sinful man must die (be crucified with Christ), and resurrect with Him by faith to have a new life, a justified life, eternal life.

Romans 6:3-11 “Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? [4] Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. [5] For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: [6] Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. [7] For he that is dead is freed from sin. [8] Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: [9] Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. [10] For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. [11] Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

We are baptized in Christ by turning to Him in repentance.

Acts 2:38 “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”

This is not water baptism but baptism into Christ. Note that water baptism does not remit sins.

The sinful man dies with Christ, and raised justified with Christ. We receive the fullness of God just like Christ.

Ephesians 3:19 “And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.”

The fullness of God is none other than Eternal Life. The fullness of God is Jesus Christ.

The sinful man receives the fullness of God by believing.

John 1:12 “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.”

We receive Jesus Christ by believing in Him, and every word proceeded from Him.

This is what makes us justified sons and daughters of God.

The question is asked to Job how a sinful man can be justified with God.

Let’s read:

Job 25:1-4 “Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said, [2] Dominion and fear are with him, he maketh peace in his high places. [3] Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise? [4] How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?”

Justification with God is by exchange. We exchange our life for the life of Christ. We receive Christ the New Life by believing in Him and His Word.

Remember Christ is His Word. He is the Word of God.

John 1:1 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

We cannot say we believe in Christ but not the Word of God. Neither can we say we believe in the Word of God and not Christ.

Else we become the man at the wedding without the robe.

Matthew 22:11-13 “And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: [12] And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. [13] Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

The Word of God and Jesus Christ are one of the same. We cannot say we believe in one and not the other.

Just as we cannot say we believe in God but do not in Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ, the Word of God, and God are one of the same. If one does not believe in Jesus Christ, they do not believe in God.

We are justified by receiving the robe of His righteousness, the fullness of God in us.

It’s one robe of righteousness. God does not make us a new robe but shapes us to fit the one robe.

Ezekiel 36:25-27 “Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. [26] A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. [27] And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.”

He shapes us to be able to receive His Spirit (the New Robe). His Robe of Righteousness.

We conclude our reading:

Job 25:5-6 “Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight. [6] How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm?”

Unless the fullness of God, Who is Christ, comes to dwell in that worm called man.

Justification is God living in a man or woman.

Let the Word of God bring you into justification. BELIEVE and confess Christ the Word as we’ve revealed Him from the First Adam. The fullness of God, dwelling in a justified man or woman, in Christ!
