“Accuser Of The Brethren”

Reference: Job Chapter 15

A great tool of Satan are accusations.

Revelation 12:9-10 “And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. [10] And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.”

Satan works through men and women in his accusations. He accused Christ of blasphemy.

Matthew 26:65 “Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.”

He  accused Christ as a sinner, and a deceiver.

Luke 7:34,39 “The Son of man is come eating and drinking; and ye say, Behold a gluttonous man, and a winebibber, a friend of publicans and sinners! [39] Now when the Pharisee which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.”

He accuses Job working through other men.

Let’s read:

Job 15:1-6 “Then answered Eliphaz the Temanite, and said, [2] Should a wise man utter vain knowledge, and fill his belly with the east wind? [3] Should he reason with unprofitable talk? or with speeches wherewith he can do no good? [4] Yea, thou castest off fear, and restrainest prayer before God. [5] For thy mouth uttereth thine iniquity, and thou choosest the tongue of the crafty. [6] Thine own mouth condemneth thee, and not I: yea, thine own lips testify against thee.”

Accusations may come from different people but the source is always the Devil.

The answer to accusations is the Word of God.

Matthew 4:6-7 “And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. [7] Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.”

The Word of God will defeat the accusations of the Devil every time.

We continue our reading:

Job 15:7-10 “Art thou the first man that was born? or wast thou made before the hills? [8] Hast thou heard the secret of God? and dost thou restrain wisdom to thyself? [9] What knowest thou, that we know not? what understandest thou, which is not in us? [10] With us are both the grayheaded and very aged men, much elder than thy father.”

Accusations may come from the young, the gray-haired, men, and women. The source is always the Devil.

We continue our reading:

Job 15:11-31 “Are the consolations of God small with thee? is there any secret thing with thee? [12] Why doth thine heart carry thee away? and what do thy eyes wink at, [13] That thou turnest thy spirit against God, and lettest such words go out of thy mouth? [14] What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous? [15] Behold, he putteth no trust in his saints; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight. [16] How much more abominable and filthy is man, which drinketh iniquity like water? [17] I will shew thee, hear me; and that which I have seen I will declare; [18] Which wise men have told from their fathers, and have not hid it: [19] Unto whom alone the earth was given, and no stranger passed among them. [20] The wicked man travaileth with pain all his days, and the number of years is hidden to the oppressor. [21] A dreadful sound is in his ears: in prosperity the destroyer shall come upon him. [22] He believeth not that he shall return out of darkness, and he is waited for of the sword. [23] He wandereth abroad for bread, saying, Where is it? he knoweth that the day of darkness is ready at his hand. [24] Trouble and anguish shall make him afraid; they shall prevail against him, as a king ready to the battle. [25] For he stretcheth out his hand against God, and strengtheneth himself against the Almighty. [26] He runneth upon him, even on his neck, upon the thick bosses of his bucklers: [27] Because he covereth his face with his fatness, and maketh collops of fat on his flanks. [28] And he dwelleth in desolate cities, and in houses which no man inhabiteth, which are ready to become heaps. [29] He shall not be rich, neither shall his substance continue, neither shall he prolong the perfection thereof upon the earth. [30] He shall not depart out of darkness; the flame shall dry up his branches, and by the breath of his mouth shall he go away. [31] Let not him that is deceived trust in vanity: for vanity shall be his recompence.”

Accusations are to condemn, cause a guilty conscience, and disrupt faith (relationship with God).

The Word is always the solution.

Romans 8:1 “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

The man or woman hidden in Christ cannot be condemned or even judged by God just as Christ cannot be condemned or judged.

Standing on the Word dispels every accusation of Satan.

We conclude our reading:

Job 15:32-35 “It shall be accomplished before his time, and his branch shall not be green. [33] He shall shake off his unripe grape as the vine, and shall cast off his flower as the olive. [34] For the congregation of hypocrites shall be desolate, and fire shall consume the tabernacles of bribery. [35] They conceive mischief, and bring forth vanity, and their belly prepareth deceit.”

Paul endured his accusations.

Who shall bring any charges against God’s elect?

Romans 8:33-34,37-39 “Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth. [34] Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. [37] Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. [38] For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, [39] Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Accusations bow only to the Word.

In Christ, and led by the Spirit of God, we are free from every accusation and judgment.

Stand on the Word and accusations will fall. BELIEVE and confess Christ the Word as we’ve revealed Him from the First Adam. There is no condemnation, in Christ!
