“The Generation Of The Upright Shall Be Blessed”

Reference: Psalms Chapter 112

God always has a witness on earth. Adam was God’s first witness.

Genesis 1:27 “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”

Adam failed but God found a witness in Seth, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Israel, and ultimately Jesus Christ, the last Adam.

Today, God has a Witness on earth. His Name is the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit is the Witness of God through men and women.

Acts 1:8 “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

He was the Witness through the Disciples, Paul, Stephen, Silas, and all the men and women who reflected Christ on earth.

Today, He will be the witness of God through those who will accept Him.

Their generation shall be blessed. The Psalmist declares

Let’s read:

Psalm 112:1-2 “Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments. [2] His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.”

The generation of Enoch was blessed because Enoch witnessed God to them.
The generation of Noah was blessed because Noah witness God to them.
The generation of Abraham was blessed because Abraham witnessed God to them.
The generation of Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Joshua, Caleb, Samuel, and David were blessed because they witnessed God to their generation.
The generation of Jesus Christ was blessed because He witnessed God to them.

Men and women who have received the Holy Spirit are a blessing to their generation because they are witnessing God to them.

We continue our reading:

Psalm 112:3 “Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.”

The righteousness of the upright is forever because Righteousness is a Person.

The righteous man or woman is the one indwelled by Jesus Christ the Righteous one through the union of His blood. This relationship is a forever relationship.

We continue our reading:

Psalm 112:4 “Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.”

He is the Light in darkness. He is gracious and full of compassion. His Name is Jesus Christ the only Righteous one.

We continue our reading:

Psalm 112:5-8 “A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion. [6] Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance. [7] He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD. [8] His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.”

On the Cross, He fulfilled His desire for the enemy. He bruised the head of the enemy just as promised.

Genesis 3:15 “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”

Today, those who have received Christ have their eyes fixated on Him. They have no fear of evil tidings for they know all power in Heaven and Earth is in Christ, the one Who dwells in them.

1 John 4:4 “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”

We conclude our reading:

Psalm 112:9-10 “He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour. [10] The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.”

Be a witness of God to your generation. BELIEVE and confess Christ the Witness as we’ve revealed Him from the First Adam. The generation of every witness of God is blessed, in Christ!
