“Blessed Is The Man God Chooses”
Reference: Psalms Chapter 65
God has chosen a man. That Man is Christ Jesus. He is the Blessed Man.
Because Jesus Christ is the chosen blessed Man of God, everybody in Christ is blessed.
Curse is the Unbeliever (anyone who is outside Christ). For Christ took the curse of sin for the BELIEVER.
Galatians 3:13-14 “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: [14] That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.”
He Who knew no sin became sin for the BELIEVER.
2 Corinthians 5:21 “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”
Blessed is the man or woman made righteous in Christ.
David writes.
Let’s read:
Psalm 65:1-4 “Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed. [2] O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come. [3] Iniquities prevail against me: as for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away. [4] Blessed is the man whom thou choosest, and causest to approach unto thee, that he may dwell in thy courts: we shall be satisfied with the goodness of thy house, even of thy holy temple.”
No man or woman chooses God. God chose us in Christ even before the foundation of the world.
Ephesians 1:3-4 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: [4] According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:”
No man or woman comes to God unless drawn by the Holy Spirit.
John 6:44 “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.”
The Father drew every BELIEVER before the foundation of the world.
We continue our reading:
Psalm 65:5-10 “By terrible things in righteousness wilt thou answer us, O God of our salvation; who art the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of them that are afar off upon the sea: [6] Which by his strength setteth fast the mountains; being girded with power: [7] Which stilleth the noise of the seas, the noise of their waves, and the tumult of the people. [8] They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: thou makest the outgoings of the morning and evening to rejoice. [9] Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it. [10] Thou waterest the ridges thereof abundantly: thou settlest the furrows thereof: thou makest it soft with showers: thou blessest the springing thereof.”
A plant is thorny and hard in a desert. Take the same plant close a river and it will flourish softly.
The difference between the thorny and flourishing life is the absence or the presence of the water of the Holy Spirit. He is the Life in the Blood of Christ. He comes to us by our faith in the shed Blood of Christ.
We conclude our reading:
Psalm 65:11-13 “Thou crownest the year with thy goodness; and thy paths drop fatness. [12] They drop upon the pastures of the wilderness: and the little hills rejoice on every side. [13] The pastures are clothed with flocks; the valleys also are covered over with corn; they shout for joy, they also sing.”
The plants close to the river respond to the moving of the Holy Spirit (gifts if the Spirit).
The plants living in the desert have nothing to respond with. Their response is “the days of miracles are over. Divine healing is a thing of the past. The Baptism with the Holy Spirit ceased with the Apostles.” Dead to things of the Spirit.
Come and dwell by the River. BELIEVE and confess Christ the Word as we’ve revealed Him from the First Adam. He is the same God yesterday, today, and tomorrow, in Christ!
