“The Counsel Of The Wicked”

Reference: Psalms Chapter 64

As long as the blood was applied to the doorpost in Egypt, it did not matter the counsel of the wicked.

Exodus 12:13 “And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.”

For the blood made atonement for the soul.

Leviticus 17:11 “For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul.”

The blood on the doorpost kept away every death angel.

Exodus 12:23 “For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.”

The destroyer had no means of entering though the blood no matter his counsel because God is bound by the blood and so is the destroyer.

If the blood of animals kept the destroyer away, how much more the Blood of Jesus Christ?

The Blood that allows the Holy Spirit to seal us.

Ephesians 4:30 “And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.”

Sealed by the Holy Spirit, eternally exempted from destruction.

Ezekiel 9:5-6 “And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity: [6] Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.”

The Mark of God is the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the Life in the Blood of Christ.

God is bound by the Blood of Christ and the Devil is sealed out of the Blood of Christ.

Isaiah 54:16-17 “I Behold, I have created the smith that bloweth the coals in the fire, and that bringeth forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. [17] No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.”

Faith in the Blood allows the Believer to be sealed on all sides by the Holy Spirit from the Destroyer.

David in fear of the enemy.

Let’s read:

Psalm 64:1-2 “Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy. [2] Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity.”

The Blood of Christ hides the Believer from every counsel of the enemy.

As long as faith is resting in the shed Blood of Jesus Christ, the Believer can rest from every fear of the enemy.

We continue our reading:

Psalm 64:3-9 “Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words: [4] That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not. [5] They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them? [6] They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep. [7] But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded. [8] So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away. [9] And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing.”

God preserves His children by the Blood to display His Work to the world. For the world to know He is God.

Exodus 7:3-5 “And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt. [4] But Pharaoh shall not hearken unto you, that I may lay my hand upon Egypt, and bring forth mine armies, and my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments. [5] And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I stretch forth mine hand upon Egypt, and bring out the children of Israel from among them.”

He is the same God today as He was yesterday.

We conclude our reading:

Psalm 64:10 “The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.”

When the Blood of Jesus Christ killed sin, He killed every attribute of sin.

He killed worry.
He killed fear.
He killed sickness .
He killed death.

Let faith rest peacefully in the shed Blood of the Lamb. BELIEVE and confess Christ the Word as we’ve revealed Him from the First Adam. No weapon comes through the Blood, in Christ!
