“The Joy Of Salvation”
Reference: Psalms Chapter 21
There should not be any sad days in the life of the child of God in Christ.
Feelings are a range. The highest feeling is Love, and the lowest feeling is hate.
There are feelings between the highest and the lowest. They include joy, peace, meekness, gentleness, brotherly love, lust, anxiety, sadness, depression, anger, and others.
When an individual is saved, they are united with God in oneness.
Oneness in faith, conscience, thought, feeling, and memory.
Oneness in faith:
We place our faith exclusively in the Word of God. That means, where the Word of God says yes, we say yes, and where the Word of God says no, we say no.
Oneness in conscience:
This is the consciousness of God in us. It’s called our sub-conscience. The part of God in us, alerting and convicting us when or before we make a wrong decision.
Our heart rate immediately goes up when we are about to do something wrong. The sub-conscience is the concept behind polygraphs, commonly known as lie detective test.
Man was created not to lie. A simple lie fires the sub-conscience in our heart, making the heart race.
Oneness in thought:
A thought is an expression of a word. Words begin as thoughts.
God created the universe by His Word. Before it was His Word, it was His thought. That means, before we were created, we were in the thoughts of God. Before the Word came out of the mouth of God, Jesus Christ was crucified in the thoughts of God. Hence the Cross was ordained before the foundation of the world.
1 Peter 1:18-20 “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; [19] But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: [20] Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you.”
The Cross was the thought of God before it became the Word of God.
God has given us the same ability of thought for this purpose. That, as He is always thinking of us, we are always thinking of Him. We stay one with Him in thought. In this sense, our words, which are expressions of our thought, will line up with the Word of God.
Oneness in feelings:
No man or woman knows our feelings. God knows our feelings. He shares that secret with us for one purpose. That is, for us to love what He loves, and hate what hates.
The joy we have in our salvation is not only in us but begins with God. His Joy in our salvation tramples down to us in the same joy. For we have now become one with Him.
Sadness, anxiety, depression are separations from God. For God is not anxious in any circumstance, so why are we anxious?
God is not depressed in any circumstance, so why are we depressed?
It is because we have separated our feelings from God in unbelief.
Oneness in memory:
The memory of the child of God in Christ is not for our past failures, accusations, and hurts. Our memory is to remember the Word and Work of God alone.
The Word of God contains the healing properties suitable for our memory. Any other word in our memory will affect us negatively.
In oneness with God, our memory is not for our word and work but His Word and finished work.
David writes about the joy of his salvation:
Let’s read:
Psalm 21:1 “The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!”
It’s the strength and joy of God trampling down to David. The feelings of God becoming the feelings of David. For David had placed his faith in the word and work (salvation) of God.
We continue our reading:
Psalm 21:2-4 “Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah. [3] For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head. [4] He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever.”
In oneness, God gives us life not just on earth but eternal.
Only God is eternal. When He comes to live in us, we receive eternal life.
We continue our reading:
Psalm 21:5-7 “His glory is great in thy salvation: honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him. [6] For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance. [7] For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.”
Honor, glory, majesty of God tramples down to the believer in oneness with God.
Blessings, gladness of God becomes that of the believer. For the believer has placed not just their trust but faith in the Lord.
We continue our reading:
Psalm 21:8-12 “Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee. [9] Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them. [10] Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men. [11] For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform. [12] Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, when thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them.”
In oneness, the enemy of the believer is the enemy of God. There is not a battle to be fought by the believer but to rest in the victory of God over all His enemies.
We conclude our reading:
Psalm 21:13 “Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.”
Oh yes. The believer can now exalt the Lord for His strength, power, and might, trampled down to the believer in oneness.
Let the Word of God bring the joy of His salvation. BELIEVE and confess Christ the Word as we’ve revealed Him from the First Adam. His strength is our strength, Word our Word, Love our love, Joy our joy, in Christ!
