“His Lovingkindness Is Better Than Life”
Reference: Psalms Chapter 63
It does not seem there is anything better than life until we examine the Love of God.
God is Love. Not that God has Love but He is Love.
1 John 4:16 “And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.”
When God (Love) comes to dwell in an individual, they have received Eternal Life. They cannot die just as God cannot die. They have become one with God.
Christ in us is the Love of God in us.
The Lovingkindness better than life is God dwelling in a man or woman. It’s better than any other kind of life.
This is the life David is yearning for.
Let’s read:
Psalm 63:1 “O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is.”
He is the Water of everlasting life.
John 4:14 “But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.”
The absence of Jesus Christ in a life is the absence of water.
We continue our reading:
Psalm 63:2 “To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.”
The sanctuary was the dwelling place of God.
Jesus Christ on earth was the Sanctuary of God.
—Emmanuel; God with us.
Today, men and women are the sanctuaries of God the Holy Spirit.
We continue our reading:
Psalm 63:3 “Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.”
God is Love.
When Love (Jesus Christ ) comes to dwell in a man or woman, they receive Eternal Life. This is the only life. Any other life results in death.
We continue our reading:
Psalm 63:4-5 “Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name. [5] My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips.”
The yearning of men and women for something deeper is satisfied when they encounter and receive Eternal Life. Constant praise and adoration are the result.
We continue our reading:
Psalm 63:6-7 “When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches. [7] Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice.”
The shadow of the Wings of the Holy Spirit hovering over the man or woman indwelled with Eternal Life. This is a cause for constant rejoicing.
We conclude our reading:
Psalm 63:8-11 “My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me. [9] But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth. [10] They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes. [11] But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.”
That Right Hand of God is Jesus Christ. That Right Hand will uphold anyone who by faith received this Everlasting Water of Life.
Death is anyone who has not the Everlasting Water of Life.
Let the Lovingkindness of God come and dwell in you. BELIEVE and confess Christ the Word as we’ve revealed Him from the First Adam. The unquenchable Everlasting Water of Life, in Christ!
