“I Will Sing Unto You Among The Nations”

Reference: Psalms Chapter 57

David found his refuge under the shadow of His wings.

Today, it’s the wings of the Holy Spirit that hover over us.

No weapon formed against the child of God in Christ shall prosper because we are covered by the Life (Holy Spirit) of the Blood.

David sings unto the Lord.

Let’s read:

Psalm 57:1 “Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.”

We make the shadow of His Wings (the Holy Spirit) our refuge by faith in the Blood.

For David, it was the blood of bulls and goats.

Today, the Believer has the Holy Spirit completely hovering over him, because Jesus Christ has spilled His Blood, making available the Life (Holy Spirit) of His Blood available to anyone who would put their faith in that shed Blood.

We continue our reading:

Psalm 57:2-3 “I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me. [3] He shall send from heaven, and save me from the reproach of him that would swallow me up. Selah. God shall send forth his mercy and his truth.”

His Mercy seat is approached not without blood.

Hebrews 9:7-8 “But into the second went the high priest alone once every year, not without blood, which he offered for himself, and for the errors of the people: [8] The Holy Ghost this signifying, that the way into the holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while as the first tabernacle was yet standing:”

Today, the Way to the Mercy seat is made manifest by the shed Blood of Christ.

Hebrews 9:11-14 “But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; [12] Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. [13] For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: [14] How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?”

His truth is His Word. His Word kept David. His Word keeps every Believer.

We continue our reading:

Psalm 57:4-5 “My soul is among lions: and I lie even among them that are set on fire, even the sons of men, whose teeth are spears and arrows, and their tongue a sharp sword. [5] Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let thy glory be above all the earth.”

Daniel slept among lions.

We can sing unto the Lord among raging lions when we find our refuge under the shadow of His wings. No lion, devil, demon, or death  comes under those Wings of the Holy Spirit.

The Wings of Spirit, when received, soars the Believer higher and higher above every power and principality.

Those Wings raised Jesus Christ even from the dead.

Romans 8:11 “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”

Those Wings have raised the Believer also from the dead. The Believer who knows Him by the Power of His resurrection.

We continue our reading:

Psalm 57:6-9 “They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down: they have digged a pit before me, into the midst whereof they are fallen themselves. Selah. [7] My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise. [8] Awake up, my glory; awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early. [9] I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people: I will sing unto thee among the nations.”

Under the shadow of His Wings do we sing among the Nations.
Under the shadow of His Wings will praise eternally go forth.

This is the Holy Spirit testifying in the heart of the Believer.

We conclude our reading:

Psalm 57:10-11 “For thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and thy truth unto the clouds. [11] Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: let thy glory be above all the earth.”

Mercy and Truth are available to the Believer by the Blood of the Lamb of God.

Take refuge under the shadow of His Wings. BELIEVE and confess Christ the Word as we’ve revealed Him from the First Adam. No weapon has a chance under His Wings, in Christ!
