"His Name Is Ointment Port Forth"

Reference: Song Of Solomon Chapter 1

The ointment was poured forth on the cross of Calvary. His name is blood. His name is God's blood. His name is the second Adam. His name is the second God's blood. That was the ointment that was poured forth.

In that ointment is salvation. In that ointment is sanctification. In that ointment is healing. In that ointment is justification. In that ointment is joy. In that ointment is peace. In that ointment is resurrection. In that ointment is eternal life.

The blood of Jesus Christ is an ointment poured forth .

Let's read:

Song of Solomon 1:1-3 "The song of songs, which is Solomon's. [2] Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy love is better than wine. [3] Because of the savour of thy good ointments thy name is as ointment poured forth, therefore do the virgins love thee."

Those who thirst and hunger after righteousness shall find this ointment.  This ointment is a balm in Gilead. This ointment is the new blood that God has sent. This ointment is Jesus Christ, the second Adam.

We continue our reading:

Song of Solomon 1:4-15 "Draw me, we will run after thee: the king hath brought me into his chambers: we will be glad and rejoice in thee, we will remember thy love more than wine: the upright love thee. [5] I am black, but comely, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, as the tents of Kedar, as the curtains of Solomon. [6] Look not upon me, because I am black, because the sun hath looked upon me: my mother's children were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but mine own vineyard have I not kept. [7] Tell me, O thou whom my soul loveth, where thou feedest, where thou makest thy flock to rest at noon: for why should I be as one that turneth aside by the flocks of thy companions? [8] If thou know not, O thou fairest among women, go thy way forth by the footsteps of the flock, and feed thy kids beside the shepherds' tents. [9] I have compared thee, O my love, to a company of horses in Pharaoh's chariots. [10] Thy cheeks are comely with rows of jewels, thy neck with chains of gold. [11] We will make thee borders of gold with studs of silver. [12] While the king sitteth at his table, my spikenard sendeth forth the smell thereof. [13] A bundle of myrrh is my wellbeloved unto me; he shall lie all night betwixt my breasts. [14] My beloved is unto me as a cluster of camphire in the vineyards of En–gedi. [15] Behold, thou art fair, my love; behold, thou art fair; thou hast doves' eyes."

It was love that sent him to the cross, the love of God for his children. He said, "If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto myself." He was lifted up, nailed to a cross, because of one thing: the love of God for humanity, to bring men back into His image. What great love the Father has shown us through His Son.

We conclude our reading:

Song of Solomon 1:16-17 "Behold, thou art fair, my beloved, yea, pleasant: also our bed is green. [17] The beams of our house are cedar, and our rafters of fir."

The love of man depends on the subject. When your pet bites one of your children, your love for the pet is not the same. Your pet bites your spouse after biting your child.  Your feeling for the pet is no longer love but concern. The love of man and woman depends on the subject. The love of God does not depend on the subject. It depends on the object. Who is God. For God so loved the world that even though we are yet sinners, Christ died for the ungodly.
Oh, love of God. How marvelous. Man cannot comprehend it. We can study it. We cannot measure it. We can only believe for it.

Enter into the love of God. BELIEVE and confess Christ, the blood of God as we reveal Him from the first Adam. He loved us even when we were sinners. In Christ!
