“The Bread And The Wine”
Reference: Proverbs Chapter 9
Abraham received the bread and wine.
Genesis 14:18-19 “And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God. [19] And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:”
Melchizedek is a type of Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 6:20 “Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.”
The bread represents His body, and the wine His blood.
1 Corinthians 11:23-25 “For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: [24] And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. [25] After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.”
Jesus Christ promised to eat the bread and drink the wine with those in Christ.
Luke 22:14-20 “And when the hour was come, he sat down, and the twelve apostles with him. [15] And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passover with you before I suffer: [16] For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of God. [17] And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide it among yourselves: [18] For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of God shall come. [19] And he took bread, and gave thanks, and brake it, and gave unto them, saying, This is my body which is given for you: this do in remembrance of me. [20] Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.”
Today, we are learning to exit the kingdom of Adam to the Kingdom of Christ by exiting the blood of Adam into the blood of Jesus Christ.
We partake of the His bread and wine in death and resurrection with Him.
John 6:53-58 “Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. [54] Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day. [55] For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. [56] He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. [57] As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. [58] This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.”
Come eat the bread, and drink the wine says the writer of the Proverbs.
Let’s read:
Proverbs 9:1-5 “Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars: [2] She hath killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; she hath also furnished her table. [3] She hath sent forth her maidens: she crieth upon the highest places of the city, [4] Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him, [5] Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled.”
The bread and wine of man cannot satisfy the needs of man.
The problem is blood and the solution is the shed blood of God. This is His bead and wine. We eat it by applying our spiritual hands (faith) to it.
Through this process, we become one with Him in life, death, burial, resurrection, ascension, and now dwelling in us in the Person of the Holy Spirit.
That’s how we partake of His bread and wine.
We continue our reading:
Proverbs 9:6-15 “Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding. [7] He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot. [8] Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee. [9] Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning. [10] The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. [11] For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased. [12] If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: but if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it. [13] A foolish woman is clamorous: she is simple, and knoweth nothing. [14] For she sitteth at the door of her house, on a seat in the high places of the city, [15] To call passengers who go right on their ways:”
False teachings of God is religion. Its typified of the foolish woman. Religion leads to death.
Faith (light turned on) placed in the blood of God exits the believer out of the blood of Adam. This is life.
We conclude our reading:
Proverbs 9:16-18 “Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: and as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him, [17] Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant. [18] But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell.”
The end of light turned off (still encapsulated by the blood of Adam) is hell.
Exit the blood of Adam. BELIEVE and confess Christ the blood of God as we’ve revealed Him from the First Adam. The bread and the wine of God, in Christ!
