“The Lord Redeems And Preserves You”

Reference: Psalms Chapter 121

To redeem something is to bring it to its original form. God has redeemed the believer to the original form of Adam.

To preserve something is to keep it in its original form. God preserves the believer in oneness with Him.

John 14:17,20 “Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. [20] At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.”

The work of Christ on the Cross was the believer’s redemption.

The Spirit of God in the redeemed man or woman is their preservation.

Ephesians 4:30 “And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.”

The believer is preserved with the seal of the Holy Spirit where no devil or demon can break through.

Job 1:9-10 “Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? [10] Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.”

Job was surrounded by the Holy Spirit. Today, the Holy Spirit is with the believer, and in the believer.

“The Lord preserves me” says the Psalmist.

Let’s read:

Psalm 121:1-6 “I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. [2] My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth. [3] He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. [4] Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. [5] The LORD is thy keeper: the LORD is thy shade upon thy right hand. [6] The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.”

There are no surprises when preserved in unity with God.

No condition, devil, disease or even death shakes the believer in oneness with God.
The preserved believer has passed from death unto life. What is it more to fear?

Jesus Christ has defeated the devil, bore all our diseases, and passed the believer from death unto life.

John 5:24 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.”

What can the devil, disease or even death do to the preserved believer?

Nothing.

We continue our reading:

Psalm 121:7 “The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.”

The Lord preserves the believer by becoming one with him or her. By dwelling in the believer, and surrounding the believer.

The evil one has no chance.

We conclude our reading:

Psalm 121:8 “The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.”

His oneness with the redeemed is not time limited. It’s for eternity. Praise God!!

Let the redeemed of the Lord rejoice. BELIEVE and confess Christ the Redeemer and Preserver as we’ve revealed Him from the First Adam. He preserves what He redeems, in Christ!
