Devotion 151
DEVOTION 151: “Every Seed After it's Kind” coming out of Num. 34
Our inheritance in God cannot perish. Everything in this world will perish except for one, which is the Word of God. The Word of God is our inheritance.
Jesus Christ is this Word of God. It’s the Word of God that brings up its kind.
Every seed brings up its kind. The Word of God is a Seed that brings up its kind in the form of the Holy Spirit.
Luke 8:11 “Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.”
God made man after His kind. His kind is Jesus Christ. His kind is the Word. His kind is those who receive all the Word, to be His express kind on earth.
The inheritance begins as the Word of God, and bears its kind in us in the form of the Holy Spirit.
Ephesians 1:11-14 “In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: [12] That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ. [13] In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, [14] Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.”
The received Word will bring His kind in the form of the Holy Spirit in those who believe the whole Word.
Just as the Promised Holy Land was the inheritance of the biological seed of Abraham, the Promised Holy Spirit is the inheritance of the spiritual Seed of Abraham.
In Christ, we become one with Him, making us co-heir with Christ, and spiritual co-seed of Abraham.
The Holy Land was their inheritance, the Holy Spirit is our inheritance.
Let’s read:
Numbers 34:1-2 “And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, [2] Command the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land of Canaan; (this is the land that shall fall unto you for an inheritance, even the land of Canaan with the coasts thereof:)”
This inheritance of the Holy Land was promised to the descendants of the biological seed of Abraham.
Genesis 17:6-8 “And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee. [7] And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. [8] And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.”
The inheritance of the Holy Spirit was promised to the descendants of the spiritual Seed of Abraham.
Acts 1:4-5 “And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. [5] For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.”
The biological seed was by physical birth.
The spiritual seed is by spiritual birth.
1 Corinthians 12:13 “For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.”
Everyone who refused to enter the Holy Land perished.
Everyone who refuses the Promised Holy Spirit baptism perishes.
Eve did not believe a tiny part of the Word, and she perished.
Every disease is because of Eve’s unbelief.
Every physical death is because of Eve’s unbelief.
Every hunger, poverty, suffering, and sin is because of Eve’s unbelief.
We must believe the whole Word or perish. All doubts and unbelief of any part of the Word must go or we perish.
We continue our reading:
Numbers 34:3-14 “Then your south quarter shall be from the wilderness of Zin along by the coast of Edom, and your south border shall be the outmost coast of the salt sea eastward: [4] And your border shall turn from the south to the ascent of Akrabbim, and pass on to Zin: and the going forth thereof shall be from the south to Kadesh–barnea, and shall go on to Hazar–addar, and pass on to Azmon: [5] And the border shall fetch a compass from Azmon unto the river of Egypt, and the goings out of it shall be at the sea. [6] And as for the western border, ye shall even have the great sea for a border: this shall be your west border. [7] And this shall be your north border: from the great sea ye shall point out for you mount Hor: [8] From mount Hor ye shall point out your border unto the entrance of Hamath; and the goings forth of the border shall be to Zedad: [9] And the border shall go on to Ziphron, and the goings out of it shall be at Hazar–enan: this shall be your north border. [10] And ye shall point out your east border from Hazar–enan to Shepham: [11] And the coast shall go down from Shepham to Riblah, on the east side of Ain; and the border shall descend, and shall reach unto the side of the sea of Chinnereth eastward: [12] And the border shall go down to Jordan, and the goings out of it shall be at the salt sea: this shall be your land with the coasts thereof round about. [13] And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which ye shall inherit by lot, which the LORD commanded to give unto the nine tribes, and to the half tribe: [14] For the tribe of the children of Reuben according to the house of their fathers, and the tribe of the children of Gad according to the house of their fathers, have received their inheritance; and half the tribe of Manasseh have received their inheritance:”
God divided the Holy Land to the various tribes.
On the Day of Pentecost, God divided the Holy Spirit to His Church (the spiritual seed of Abraham).
Acts 2:3-4 “And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. [4] And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”
They were never the same. They believed the Word, and the Word bore into them seed in the form of the Holy Spirit, their inheritance.
They bore God in the form of the Holy Spirit to now be a reflection of Jesus Christ, the Seed from the beginning.
Together as the Church, they became what Christ was in totality. The Seed bore His kind.
1 Corinthians 12:4-5,8-13 “Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. [5] And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. [8] For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; [9] To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; [10] To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: [11] But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will. [12] For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ. [13] For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
They fought to enter into the Holy Land.
We must believe every inch to enter into the Holy Spirit baptism, else we perish.
We conclude our reading:
Numbers 34:15-29 “The two tribes and the half tribe have received their inheritance on this side Jordan near Jericho eastward, toward the sunrising. [16] And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, [17] These are the names of the men which shall divide the land unto you: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun. [18] And ye shall take one prince of every tribe, to divide the land by inheritance. [19] And the names of the men are these: Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh. [20] And of the tribe of the children of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud. [21] Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon. [22] And the prince of the tribe of the children of Dan, Bukki the son of Jogli. [23] The prince of the children of Joseph, for the tribe of the children of Manasseh, Hanniel the son of Ephod. [24] And the prince of the tribe of the children of Ephraim, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan. [25] And the prince of the tribe of the children of Zebulun, Elizaphan the son of Parnach. [26] And the prince of the tribe of the children of Issachar, Paltiel the son of Azzan. [27] And the prince of the tribe of the children of Asher, Ahihud the son of Shelomi. [28] And the prince of the tribe of the children of Naphtali, Pedahel the son of Ammihud. [29] These are they whom the LORD commanded to divide the inheritance unto the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.”
God gave the Land, and He chose the people.
Today, He gives to whom He chooses.
Ephesians 4:11-12 “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; [12] For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:”
The Promised inheritance is unto us who are called.
Acts 2:39 “For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.”
Let the Word of God become your inheritance. BELIEVE the whole Word and not just some. Confess Jesus Christ the Word as we’ve revealed Him from the First Adam. The indwelling Spirit is our inheritance, revealing the Seed , in Christ!
