“He Nailed Him To The Cross”
Reference: Esther Chapter 7
There were three people on the Cross of Christ.
The three were Jesus Christ, Satan, and you (the believer in Christ).
Two of the three resurrected. Jesus Christ resurrected and so did the believer in Christ.
Satan is still nailed to the Cross. He is only a bluff. He has no power over the believer in Christ.
Colossians 2:14-15 “Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; [15] And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”
Jesus Christ said this about the Serpent (Satan) on the Cross.
John 3:14 “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:”
The Serpent was lifted up in the wilderness nailed to the cross.
Numbers 21:8-9 “And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. [9] And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.”
It was the mystery of Divine healing then, and the mystery of Divine healing today.
Faith in the finished work of Christ is the source to divine healing.
The finished work includes Satan nailed to the cross with all his disease. Remember sickness is simply an attribute of sin. Sin is an attribute of Satan. Therefore diseases or sickness is an attribute of Satan.
We are healed when we believe that Satan (sin and disease) is nailed to the Cross of Christ.
Isaiah 53:4-5 “Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. [5] But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”
Jesus Christ was smitten, afflicted, bruised and nailed to the Cross. But He came off the Cross in resurrection, but Satan who was likewise nailed to the Cross never came off the Cross.
Satan no longer has the key to death.
Jesus Christ took it from him by the work of the Cross.
The Patriarchs who were captives of Satan before the Cross of Christ had to wait in Abraham’s bosom until Jesus Christ had taken the key to death from Satan.
Ephesians 4:8-10 “Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. [9] (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? [10] He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)”
The Patriarchs (whose names were not mentioned ) resurrected with Him.
Matthew 27:50-53 “Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost. [51] And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; [52] And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, [53] And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.”
For He took the keys to death from Satan on the Cross.
That’s the wisdom of God. He is the same God yesterday, today, and forever.
Haman is hanged on his own gallows.
The same wisdom of God.
Let’s read:
Esther 7:1-6 “So the king and Haman came to banquet with Esther the queen. [2] And the king said again unto Esther on the second day at the banquet of wine, What is thy petition, queen Esther? and it shall be granted thee: and what is thy request? and it shall be performed, even to the half of the kingdom. [3] Then Esther the queen answered and said, If I have found favour in thy sight, O king, and if it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request: [4] For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. But if we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the enemy could not countervail the king's damage. [5] Then the king Ahasuerus answered and said unto Esther the queen, Who is he, and where is he, that durst presume in his heart to do so? [6] And Esther said, The adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman. Then Haman was afraid before the king and the queen.”
He is Haman as a man but the same spirit as Satan, the adversary, the wicked one, the one who appeared to Eve as a serpent.
He was the Devil, and then the Serpent, and now Haman. The same spirit just hiding in different vessels.
We conclude our reading:
Esther 7:7-10 “And the king arising from the banquet of wine in his wrath went into the palace garden: and Haman stood up to make request for his life to Esther the queen; for he saw that there was evil determined against him by the king. [8] Then the king returned out of the palace garden into the place of the banquet of wine; and Haman was fallen upon the bed whereon Esther was. Then said the king, Will he force the queen also before me in the house? As the word went out of the king's mouth, they covered Haman's face. [9] And Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold also, the gallows fifty cubits high, which Haman had made for Mordecai, who had spoken good for the king, standeth in the house of Haman. Then the king said, Hang him thereon. [10] So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then was the king's wrath pacified.”
The wrath of God is pacified by the work of the Cross.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
We can never pacify the wrath of God until we are nailed to the Cross with Christ by faith (believing) in that one event.
Galatians 2:20 “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”
Come and be crucified with Christ. BELIEVE and confess Christ the Word as we’ve revealed Him from the First Adam. Every principality and power is nailed to His Cross, in Christ!
