Reference: Esther Chapter 5

“The Spirit Of God Directing Affairs”

Esther is stirred up by the Spirit of God into waters that she has never swarm.

Sons and daughters of God are led by the Spirit of God.

Romans 8:14 “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”

The Spirit of God may lead us to deserts.

Matthew 4:1 “Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.”

The Spirit may lead us to mountains, and valleys.

Ezekiel 37:1 “The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones.”

The Spirit sometimes may lead us in or out of jail.

Acts 12:7 “And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.”

The Same Light that was a pillar of fire, and led the children of Israel through the wilderness, shined around Peter.

The Spirit sometimes may lead us to the uttermost.

Acts 1:8 “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

Esther is led to the King’s court.

Let’s read:

Esther 5:1 “Now it came to pass on the third day, that Esther put on her royal apparel, and stood in the inner court of the king's house, over against the king's house: and the king sat upon his royal throne in the royal house, over against the gate of the house.”

After three days of fasting, Esther entered the King’s court by faith.

Esther 4:16 “Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.”

God rewards faith. He is pleased by faith.

We continue our reading:

Esther 5:2 “And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight: and the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that was in his hand. So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre.”

Faith applied to every promise of God will bring it to pass. As long as we stand on what God has promised, by faith, we can rest assured that the Promise is finished.

We are saved if we receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

Romans 10:8-9 “But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; [9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

We are healed if we believe in His finished work.

Isaiah 53:5 “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.”

The Word says we are healed by His stripes. If we apply faith to that promise, we are healed.

The Word of God remains the same. It’s our faith applied to the Word that makes the difference.

We conclude our reading:

Esther 5:3-14 “Then said the king unto her, What wilt thou, queen Esther? and what is thy request? it shall be even given thee to the half of the kingdom. [4] And Esther answered, If it seem good unto the king, let the king and Haman come this day unto the banquet that I have prepared for him. [5] Then the king said, Cause Haman to make haste, that he may do as Esther hath said. So the king and Haman came to the banquet that Esther had prepared. [6] And the king said unto Esther at the banquet of wine, What is thy petition? and it shall be granted thee: and what is thy request? even to the half of the kingdom it shall be performed. [7] Then answered Esther, and said, My petition and my request is; [8] If I have found favour in the sight of the king, and if it please the king to grant my petition, and to perform my request, let the king and Haman come to the banquet that I shall prepare for them, and I will do to morrow as the king hath said. [9] Then went Haman forth that day joyful and with a glad heart: but when Haman saw Mordecai in the king's gate, that he stood not up, nor moved for him, he was full of indignation against Mordecai. [10] Nevertheless Haman refrained himself: and when he came home, he sent and called for his friends, and Zeresh his wife. [11] And Haman told them of the glory of his riches, and the multitude of his children, and all the things wherein the king had promoted him, and how he had advanced him above the princes and servants of the king. [12] Haman said moreover, Yea, Esther the queen did let no man come in with the king unto the banquet that she had prepared but myself; and to morrow am I invited unto her also with the king. [13] Yet all this availeth me nothing, so long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king's gate. [14] Then said Zeresh his wife and all his friends unto him, Let a gallows be made of fifty cubits high, and to morrow speak thou unto the king that Mordecai may be hanged thereon: then go thou in merrily with the king unto the banquet. And the thing pleased Haman; and he caused the gallows to be made.”

Esther, the biological seed of Abraham, led by the Spirit of God.

If a biological seed of Abraham is led by the Holy Spirit, how much will the Holy Spirit lead the spiritual seed of Abraham today?

Apply faith to the promises of God. BELIEVE and confess Christ the Word as we’ve revealed Him from the First Adam. Faith in the unseen, brings every promise to pass, in Christ!
