“Bringing The Ark Into The Temple, The Holy Spirit Coming To Dwell In Our Hearts”

Reference: 2 Chronicles Chapter 5

God has manifested Himself in three ways; Son, Father, Holy Spirit.

There are three witnesses in Heaven, and three witnesses on earth.

1 John 5:7-8 “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. [8] And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.”

When a baby is born, first comes the water, then the blood, then the life( the baby).

When Jesus went to the Mount of Transfiguration, He took three earthly witnesses.

Matthew 17:1 “And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart.”

At the Mount of Transfiguration, two heavenly witnesses joined Christ to make three heavenly witnesses.

Matthew 17:3 “And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.”

In our salvation experience, there is Justification, Sanctification, and then Holy Spirit Baptism.

The Temple was built with an outer court, Holy place, and the Holy of Holies.

The Temple is incomplete if it had an outer court, a holy place, and not the Holy of Holies. So is the Christian who has received Jesus Christ by faith, washed by His Blood, but refuses or rejects the Baptism with the Holy Spirit.

Like our hearts, the Temple was first built, then furnished, and will now be receiving the Ark of God where the Spirit of God dwells.

Let’s read:

2 Chronicles 5:1-7 “Thus all the work that Solomon made for the house of the LORD was finished: and Solomon brought in all the things that David his father had dedicated; and the silver, and the gold, and all the instruments, put he among the treasures of the house of God. [2] Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion. [3] Wherefore all the men of Israel assembled themselves unto the king in the feast which was in the seventh month. [4] And all the elders of Israel came; and the Levites took up the ark. [5] And they brought up the ark, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle, these did the priests and the Levites bring up. [6] Also king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel that were assembled unto him before the ark, sacrificed sheep and oxen, which could not be told nor numbered for multitude. [7] And the priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, to the oracle of the house, into the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubim.”

The Ark was placed in the Holy of Holies.
The Holy Spirit comes to dwell in the heart of the man of woman after being purchased by the blood of Christ.

Ephesians 1:13-14 “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, [14] Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.”

Justification, sanctification, and then sealed with the Holy Spirit Baptism.

We continue our reading:

2 Chronicles 5:8-13 “For the cherubims spread forth their wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubims covered the ark and the staves thereof above. [9] And they drew out the staves of the ark, that the ends of the staves were seen from the ark before the oracle; but they were not seen without. And there it is unto this day. [10] There was nothing in the ark save the two tables which Moses put therein at Horeb, when the LORD made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of Egypt. [11] And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place: (for all the priests that were present were sanctified, and did not then wait by course: [12] Also the Levites which were the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, being arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets:) [13] It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD.”

The glory of God filled the place. God vindicated the completion of the process.

The Baptism with the Holy Spirit is God’s vindication that we have believed, and been sanctified  by the blood of Jesus Christ.

Acts 2:38 “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”

That’s the prescription. We do not receive the glory of the Lord in any other way.

We conclude our reading:

2 Chronicles 5:14 “So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.”

When the cloud of the Holy Spirit falls, no man can stand the same.

Let the Word of God bring you to the completion of the process of receiving God. BELIEVE and confess Christ the Word as we’ve revealed Him from the First Adam. Justification, Sanctification, Baptism with the Holy Spirit, in Christ!
