“Faith Begets Faith”
Reference: 1 Chronicles Chapter 20
They have seen David defeat Goliath, therefore some of the children of Israel have faith to defeat giants.
If the child of God will look at how Christ defeated Satan, we should have faith to possess the gate of every enemy.
Daniel had faith to possess his enemy when he was thrown into lions den.
The three Hebrew boys had faith to possess the gate of their enemy when they were thrown into a heated furnace.
Moses had faith to possess the gate of his enemy at the Red Sea. Abraham had faith to possess the gate of childlessness.
Jesus Christ had faith to possess the gate of Satan.
The child of God must have faith to possess the gate of every enemy. Every sin, sickness, and even the grave.
No enemy should hinder the child of God.
Let’s read:
1 Chronicles 20:1-5 “And it came to pass, that after the year was expired, at the time that kings go out to battle, Joab led forth the power of the army, and wasted the country of the children of Ammon, and came and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried at Jerusalem. And Joab smote Rabbah, and destroyed it. [2] And David took the crown of their king from off his head, and found it to weigh a talent of gold, and there were precious stones in it; and it was set upon David's head: and he brought also exceeding much spoil out of the city. [3] And he brought out the people that were in it, and cut them with saws, and with harrows of iron, and with axes. Even so dealt David with all the cities of the children of Ammon. And David and all the people returned to Jerusalem. [4] And it came to pass after this, that there arose war at Gezer with the Philistines; at which time Sibbechai the Hushathite slew Sippai, that was of the children of the giant: and they were subdued. [5] And there was war again with the Philistines; and Elhanan the son of Jair slew Lahmi the brother of Goliath the Gittite, whose spear staff was like a weaver's beam.”
They defeated giants because they had the faith of David.
If we have faith of Christ, no enemy has a chance. If we live by the faith of the Som of God, every enemy is already defeated.
Galatians 2:20 “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me”
We have the faith of the Son of God when we by faith identify with Him in His life, death, burial, resurrection, ascension, and now dwelling in us in the Person of the Holy Spirit.
We conclude our reading:
1 Chronicles 20:6-8 “And yet again there was war at Gath, where was a man of great stature, whose fingers and toes were four and twenty, six on each hand, and six on each foot: and he also was the son of the giant. [7] But when he defied Israel, Jonathan the son of Shimea David's brother slew him. [8] These were born unto the giant in Gath; and they fell by the hand of David, and by the hand of his servants.”
No giants. Not even the gates of hell can stand against the child of God. For Christ has defeated every enemy.
Matthew 16:18 “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
No hell, no grave, no devil can prevail against the child of God in Christ.
Let the Word of God bring you to possess the gate of every enemy. BELIEVE and confess Christ the Word as we’ve revealed Him from the First Adam. Every enemy defeated. If we can think of an enemy, he, she, or it is defeated, in Christ!
