“Bringing The Ark Of God Into A Heart”

Reference: 1 Chronicles Chapter 15

John 6:44 “No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.”

The heart of David was to make a place for the Ark of God. The Ark of God was the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit of God.
Today, we receive Who was in the Ark (the Holy Spirit) by going according to the prescription set forth by the Word of God.

Acts 2:37-38 “Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? [38] Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”

The Holy Spirit, the One Who was in the Ark of God, comes with joy and shoutings.

David brings the Spirit of God to the city of David.

Let’s read:

1 Chronicles 15:1-2 “And David made him houses in the city of David, and prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent. [2] Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites: for them hath the LORD chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever.”

God the Holy Spirit was carried in an Ark on the shoulders of the Levites to the City of David.
Today, the Holy Spirit is carried in the hearts (arks) of those who have received Him, and He’s taken to cities, towns, and villages around the world.

We continue our reading:

1 Chronicles 15:3 “And David gathered all Israel together to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the LORD unto his place, which he had prepared for it.”

When the Day of Pentecost has come, the believers were all gathered in one place just as the Heavenly David had commanded.

Acts 2:1 “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.”

Today, the Spirit of God has left the Ark to dwell in individual hearts.

We continue our reading:

1 Chronicles 15:4-12 “And David assembled the children of Aaron, and the Levites: [5] Of the sons of Kohath; Uriel the chief, and his brethren an hundred and twenty: [6] Of the sons of Merari; Asaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred and twenty: [7] Of the sons of Gershom; Joel the chief, and his brethren an hundred and thirty: [8] Of the sons of Elizaphan; Shemaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred: [9] Of the sons of Hebron; Eliel the chief, and his brethren fourscore: [10] Of the sons of Uzziel; Amminadab the chief, and his brethren an hundred and twelve. [11] And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab, [12] And said unto them, Ye are the chief of the fathers of the Levites: sanctify yourselves, both ye and your brethren, that ye may bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel unto the place that I have prepared for it.”

A man or woman must be sanctified (express faith in the Blood Sacrifice of Christ) to receive the Holy Spirit of God.
After receiving the Holy Spirit, we become carriers of the Spirit of God to the cities and towns around the world.

Acts 1:5,8 “For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. [8] But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

David brought the Holy Spirit in an Ark to a place. Today, we bring the Holy Spirit of God in our hearts to other hearts.

We continue our reading:

1 Chronicles 15:13 “For because ye did it not at the first, the LORD our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not after the due order.”

We are commanded not to go and witness for Christ until we have received the Promise of the Father which is the Holy Spirit of God.

Acts 1:4 “And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.”

Without the indwelling Power, we witness in our own strength, and that will not do much.

Acts 1:8 “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

The Power comes AFTER we have received the Holy Spirit Baptism and NOT BEFORE.

We continue our reading:

1 Chronicles 15:14-28 “So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel. [15] And the children of the Levites bare the ark of God upon their shoulders with the staves thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of the LORD. [16] And David spake to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers with instruments of musick, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding, by lifting up the voice with joy. [17] So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brethren, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan the son of Kushaiah; [18] And with them their brethren of the second degree, Zechariah, Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obed–edom, and Jeiel, the porters. [19] So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were appointed to sound with cymbals of brass; [20] And Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with psalteries on Alamoth; [21] And Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obed–edom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps on the Sheminith to excel. [22] And Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was for song: he instructed about the song, because he was skilful. [23] And Berechiah and Elkanah were doorkeepers for the ark. [24] And Shebaniah, and Jehoshaphat, and Nethaneel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, did blow with the trumpets before the ark of God: and Obed–edom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark. [25] So David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the house of Obed–edom with joy. [26] And it came to pass, when God helped the Levites that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, that they offered seven bullocks and seven rams. [27] And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that bare the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song with the singers: David also had upon him an ephod of linen. [28] Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, making a noise with psalteries and harps.”

The Spirit of God is carried with joy and shoutings. There is always noise where the Spirit of God comes.

Acts 2:2-4 “And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. [3] And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. [4] And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

The Spirit of God does not come to a place quietly. There was noise when He entered the city of David. There will be noise when He enters a heart.

We conclude our reading:

1 Chronicles 15:29 “And it came to pass, as the ark of the covenant of the LORD came to the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looking out at a window saw king David dancing and playing: and she despised him in her heart.”

Like Michal, some will despise the Holy Spirit baptism but to those who receive Him, it’s joy unspeakable.

Like Michal, speaking against the Holy Spirit Baptism is catastrophic.

2 Samuel 6:23 “Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death.”

Speaking against Jesus Christ is pardonable but speaking  against the Holy Spirit Is not forgivable.

Matthew 12:32 “And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.”

None can be saved if they speak against the Holy Spirit. For it is unbelief, and unbelieving is the unpardonable sin.

Let the Ark( Spirit) of God come into your heart. BELIEVE and confess Christ the Word as we’ve received Him from the First Adam. The Holy Spirit of God will come where He is welcomed, in Christ!
