“Son Of David In The Flesh, Son Of God By The Spirit”

Reference: 1 Chronicles Chapter 3

Romans 1:3-4 “Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh; [4] And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.”

God could not be one with man born in the flesh. Man had to be born again;born of the Holy Spirit.

John 3:3-6 “Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. [4] Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? [5] Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. [6] That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”

Every man or woman born out of the flesh (sex) must be born again by the Spirit. Until we are born of the Spirit, we stand condemned.

The sexual genealogy from the First Adam to the Second Adam continues with David.

Let’s read:

1 Chronicles 3:1-24 “Now these were the sons of David, which were born unto him in Hebron; the firstborn Amnon, of Ahinoam the Jezreelitess; the second Daniel, of Abigail the Carmelitess: [2] The third, Absalom the son of Maachah the daughter of Talmai king of Geshur: the fourth, Adonijah the son of Haggith: [3] The fifth, Shephatiah of Abital: the sixth, Ithream by Eglah his wife. [4] These six were born unto him in Hebron; and there he reigned seven years and six months: and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty and three years. [5] And these were born unto him in Jerusalem; Shimea, and Shobab, and Nathan, and Solomon, four, of Bath–shua the daughter of Ammiel: [6] Ibhar also, and Elishama, and Eliphelet, [7] And Nogah, and Nepheg, and Japhia, [8] And Elishama, and Eliada, and Eliphelet, nine. [9] These were all the sons of David, beside the sons of the concubines, and Tamar their sister. [10] And Solomon's son was Rehoboam, Abia his son, Asa his son, Jehoshaphat his son, [11] Joram his son, Ahaziah his son, Joash his son, [12] Amaziah his son, Azariah his son, Jotham his son, [13] Ahaz his son, Hezekiah his son, Manasseh his son, [14] Amon his son, Josiah his son. [15] And the sons of Josiah were, the firstborn Johanan, the second Jehoiakim, the third Zedekiah, the fourth Shallum. [16] And the sons of Jehoiakim: Jeconiah his son, Zedekiah his son. [17] And the sons of Jeconiah; Assir, Salathiel his son, [18] Malchiram also, and Pedaiah, and Shenazar, Jecamiah, Hoshama, and Nedabiah. [19] And the sons of Pedaiah were, Zerubbabel, and Shimei: and the sons of Zerubbabel; Meshullam, and Hananiah, and Shelomith their sister: [20] And Hashubah, and Ohel, and Berechiah, and Hasadiah, Jushab–hesed, five. [21] And the sons of Hananiah; Pelatiah, and Jesaiah: the sons of Rephaiah, the sons of Arnan, the sons of Obadiah, the sons of Shechaniah. [22] And the sons of Shechaniah; Shemaiah: and the sons of Shemaiah; Hattush, and Igeal, and Bariah, and Neariah, and Shaphat, six. [23] And the sons of Neariah; Elioenai, and Hezekiah, and Azrikam, three. [24] And the sons of Elioenai were, Hodaiah, and Eliashib, and Pelaiah, and Akkub, and Johanan, and Dalaiah, and Anani, seven.”

All stood condemned. God could not use anyone born of the flesh. They had to be born of the Holy Spirit to ultimately come to the presence of God.

Luke 23:43 “And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.”

All believers before the work of redemption by Christ on the Cross remained in Paradise until the resurrection.

Jesus Christ led the Saints who were still captives of Satan (because they were still only born in the flesh) out of paradise following His resurrection.

Matthew 27:51-53 “And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent; [52] And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose, [53] And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.”

The graves were opened. The sleeping saints like Abraham and David are now born Gods way. Born again. Born of the Spirit.

Let the Word of God bring you out to be born God’s way. BELIEVE and confess Christ the Word as we’ve revealed Him from the First Adam. God’s way is to be born of the Spirit, in Christ!
